Home

We'd like to take this one last chance to thank all the friends, parents and grandparents for all the support that we had on this trip. I believe that it would not have been so successful if it were not for all the prayer that we had as we were gone. We had excellent weather throughout the course of the trip. Rarely to hot, and rarely to cold. It rained at times, but never was that a huge inconvenience, as a matter of fact made those times even more memorable, without get to wet. Obviously prayer helped in all the travelling that we did. There were no accidents for us on the trip, and if you've ever seen Europeans drive that is saying a lot. Finally, no one got seriously ill. We did have a few that got a little sick throughout the trip, but for the most part we all stayed relatively healthy. It meant a lot to us knowing that you all were meeting together to pray for all of our safety.

It is our opinion that we had a tremendous trip and I hope that the kids are in agreement. We had the opportunity to see some of the greatest sights in Europe and the world, while still being able to have a small group feel. I feel that I got to know all the students better and in a different way. A few years ago my wife Christa was able to go on a Washington trip with me and she had the opportunity to bond with a few of the students in the class that just graduated high school. For years she has been close to the kids in that class, and I feel that it is because she went on that trip. She now has had a chance to bond with your kids, and I feel that she will be especially connected to this class because of that. The fact that Christa cares about this group now may not mean a lot to you, but to me that means a lot, and that is just one of the many reasons that this trip will mean so much to me.

It would be to difficult to explain all the fun things that we were able to do in the last week and a half, plus it would take away from all of the stories that your kids are hopefully gonna tell you. Know that even though this trip was beyond exhausting, it was a remarkable experience that I will remember as one of my greatest teaching opportunities. Finally, even though my mom is an English teacher it is not one of my strong points, so I thank you for not being to critical of my grammatical skills. I read through the whole blog before I typed this out and found tons of mistakes. Since I'm not being graded I decided to leave them, but thanks for not pointing them out to me. With that said I'll end this last post with a few more photos from the trip and I hope all your summers are safe and fun!

We can never thank you all enough for initiating and taking our kids on this adventure. Michael has been telling stories non-stop (imagine that). He has also made crepes with nutella for the whole family. I believe this trip will continue to impact him in awesome ways in the years to come. Who knows how God will use this trip in all their lives in the years to come. Thank you again.
